Dr. Ron Friedman
Ronald M. Friedman, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breasts, body, and face. In private practice in Plano, TX, since 1996, Ron formerly served on the full-time plastic surgery faculty at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
D Magazine selected him as a Best Doctor 16 times, and Texas Monthly has repeatedly named him a Texas SuperDoctor. He has published widely in the leading plastic surgery journals, authored numerous textbook chapters, and lectured nationally and internationally.
A songwriter and pianist for more than 30 years, he has had the privilege of performing his music live on FOX 4 Good Day Show, as an introduction to a speech by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and for a crowd of 17,000 in San Antonio. All proceeds from the sale of his 17-song pop and rock CD, Illusions, benefit Smile Train, a non-profit organization providing free cleft lip and palate surgery to children in over 60 countries.
A gifted wood and marble sculptor, Ron’s work has been displayed in several galleries and is part of many private collections.

Laura Goodenow is a librettist, lyricist, editor, writer, producer, and distributor.
In addition to cleaVage, her other musicals in development include EXPOSED (book, lyrics), which was chosen to participate in the Actor’s Theater of Indiana’s 2022-23 LAB series, CROST (book, lyrics), based on the love letters of 12-century French lovers Heloise and Abelard, and GOLD JADE WAY (book, producer), a sung-through operetta of ancient Chinese poetry translations.
Laura developed and produced the award-winning feature film YEAR BY THE SEA, based on the NYT and international best-selling memoir by Joan Anderson, starring Karen Allen, Yannick Bisson, S. Epatha Merkerson, Michael Cristofer, and Celia Imrie. Her company Real Women Make Waves distributed the movie to more than 100 theaters nationwide. Before her career focused on the arts, Laura was as an award-winning print journalist, photographer, and newspaper editor, as well as a corporate editor, writer and marketer.
